About the artist -
Gayle (Sherritt) Sanchirico has been creating art since she was a child in Ohio. Her talents were
recognized early and she was encouraged by her teachers as she was called upon to provide art
work for special events and projects. She won her first awards and sold her first oil painting while in
high school, upon graduating received a talent scholarship to Columbus Collage of Art and Design.
While in art school she was drawn to a creative career in Visual Presentation and Merchandising
She served as the director and manager of several visual merchandising departments across the
country, while keeping involved in the fine arts by attending art courses and workshops along the
way.
Gayle currently lives in Michigan where she is a member of the Brighton Art Guild. This association
inspired Gayle to return to her love of painting, entering and exhibiting her work in solo and juried
art shows and winning numerous awards and honors.
She paints full-time in her Brighton studio where she also gives limited private and semi-private
instruction. She paints commissioned works by private arrangement.
